14 Freeway Accident: 2 Injured After Multi-Vehicle Crash on Southbound in Canyon Country

Two people were transported to the hospital Wednesday morning following a multi-vehicle crash that shut down all lanes of the southbound 14 Freeway in Canyon Country.

The collision was reported at approximately 8:16 a.m. just north of Soledad Canyon Road, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesperson Kaitlyn Aldana.

“On-scene reports stated that three vehicles were involved,” Aldana said. Emergency responders treated multiple individuals at the scene before transporting two patients to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital for further care.

The crash prompted a full closure of the southbound lanes, creating a traffic backup stretching more than four miles to Agua Dulce Canyon Road, according to California Highway Patrol logs.

By 10:20 a.m., all lanes had been reopened, and traffic was slowly beginning to return to normal. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
