Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Monday evening at Mill Dam Park, leaving a teenager dead.
According to the Mt. Holly Township Police Department, officers were called to the park, located at 155 Wollner Drive, after reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they discovered a teenage male suffering from a gunshot wound to the back. Despite emergency efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the incident unfolded just off Pine Street, where a group of teens had reportedly been involved in a fight before shots were fired.
The teen’s identity has not yet been released as investigators work to notify family members.
The Mt. Holly Township Police Department confirmed that the investigation remains ongoing, and no arrests have been announced at this time. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
