Kent Police are appealing for witnesses, CCTV, and dashcam footage following a tragic collision in Margate that claimed the life of a young boy.

Shortly after 4 p.m. on Thursday, 7 August, officers were called to Ramsgate Road, outside Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital, after reports of a collision involving a bus and a pedestrian.
The incident occurred near the entrance to the hospital’s A&E department. Police say the pedestrian — a four-year-old boy — had left the hospital on foot when he was struck by a white single-decker bus.
The child was taken into the hospital for emergency treatment, but was sadly pronounced dead a short time later. His next of kin has been informed. GoFundMe
Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, including passengers on the bus who have not yet spoken to police, to come forward.
Those with information or footage are urged to call 01622 798538 or email sciu.td@kent.pnn.police.uk, quoting reference KH//055/25.
Hi my name is Azaria, today on the 7th of August 2025 me and my family went to visit our mum at margate hospital. And my son who is only 4 years old fell under a bus and he died immediately I am so lost he was my son my most beautiful little Jan I don’t know what to do I can’t believe you are gone from me I can’t believe they couldn’t save you I can’t believe this happened. I didn’t even get to tell you how much I love you. Please if anyone can help us to make his burial as beautiful as he was please I will be so grateful. Everyone is devastated but that word doesn’t feel like enough to explain how we are all feeling. Our sweet funny boy with a cheeky smile that could make anyone’s heart full. The smile that we can’t see again. Can’t hold him. Can’t cuddle him. Can’t hear him. Can’t have him sleeping in my bed tonight. But I can try to give him the best and most comfortable burial. My baby I wish you were in my bed tonight cuddling. I love you my boy
