A multi-vehicle crash involving two North East ISD school buses caused significant traffic delays Tuesday afternoon on the far North Side, according to the San Antonio Fire Department (SAFD).
The crash was reported around 4:00 p.m. along U.S. Highway 281 North at Redland Road. Emergency crews quickly responded, and the exit was shut down as a precaution while the scene was cleared.
At this time, officials have not confirmed what caused the collision. No injuries have been reported, according to SAFD.
Drivers in the area experienced delays as traffic was backed up on the highway during the evening commute. Authorities are urging motorists to avoid the area and seek alternate routes until the roadway fully reopens.
