It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of 14-year-old Deshoune Pope, who tragically lost his life on Saturday evening in Mathis, Texas.
Mathis Police reported that the incident happened on the 800 block of Olivo Street. Despite immediate efforts, Deshoune was pronounced dead before arriving at the hospital. The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing.
Deshoune’s passing has left his family and community heartbroken, as he was a bright young life taken far too soon. He will be remembered with love and cherished in the hearts of those who knew him.
