Communities in Charlotte and Raleigh are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Acie Tatum, a vibrant young woman who was killed in a tragic accident on Saturday, September 6.
Acie, the beloved daughter of Michele Kelly of Dallas, Pennsylvania, was just beginning to make her mark on the world. She was a student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and a proud graduate of Green Level High School.
Her passing has left her family, friends, and peers devastated. Her mother, Michele, shared her grief in a deeply moving message:
“With the heaviest heart, I share that my sweet, beautiful daughter passed away last night. There are no words — my heart is shattered. I know she would be telling me to stop crying, but the missing her will never end. Please, hug your babies tight…for her. Love you baby!! 💔”
