He began his civilian career at Goldman Sachs before moving into the consumer products and food service sectors. At PepsiCo, he built a reputation for strategic thinking and operational excellence. In 1996, he became Chief Operating Officer at Taco Bell, where he oversaw a period of significant growth and innovation until 2000.
Davin’s leadership journey continued when he was appointed CEO of Panda Restaurant Group from 2004 to 2009. Under his guidance, the company experienced rapid expansion and strengthened its position as a beloved restaurant brand. In 2010, he assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer at 5.11 Tactical, where he helped transform the company into a global leader in tactical apparel and gear. Serving military personnel, first responders, and outdoor enthusiasts, 5.11 grew exponentially during Davin’s tenure. He retired from the position in September 2018, but his influence on the brand continues to resonate today.
Even in retirement, Davin remained a visionary force. He joined Black Rifle Coffee Company as Co-CEO, partnering with founder and former Green Beret Evan Hafer.
