Milwaukee fatal crash: Pedestrian killed near Teutonia and Ruby, driver at large

Police are searching for the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian dead late Thursday night.

According to the Milwaukee Police Department, the incident happened around 10 p.m. near Teutonia Avenue and Ruby Street. Officers responded to the scene and found a 66-year-old man, later identified as Jimmie Betties by the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office, who had been struck by a vehicle. Betties was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say the driver fled after the crash and remains at large. Investigators are working to locate the suspect and the vehicle involved.
