Three people were injured in a shooting late Friday morning in Edgefield.
The Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to reports of gunfire shortly after 11 a.m. on Hickory Street. One of the victims was airlifted to a hospital in Augusta for treatment.
According to sheriff’s officials, two individuals have been taken into custody in connection with the incident.
A Facebook Live video believed to be from the scene suggested that a dispute—possibly involving a knife—may have been unfolding since earlier in the morning.
