Born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and raised in East Brunswick, Alyssa grew up surrounded by the warmth of family, the support of friends, and a deep curiosity about the world.

She attended East Brunswick High School, where she excelled academically while nurturing friendships that lasted her lifetime. She went on to attend American University before earning her medical degree from New Jersey Medical School (NJMS).

At the time of her passing, Alyssa was a second-year pediatric resident at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, a role that combined her sharp intellect, medical skill, and extraordinary compassion.

At Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, she was known not only for her clinical excellence but also for her ability to make every child feel safe, seen, and genuinely cared for.

Alyssa’s life was guided by kindness, patience, and thoughtfulness. She possessed an uncommon blend of intelligence and empathy, which allowed her to connect deeply with people from all walks of life.

Friends and colleagues recall her quick wit, infectious laughter, and adventurous spirit. She loved exploring new places, seeking out experiences that expanded her understanding of the world, and embracing life with a sense of purpose and joy.

Her concern for others was boundless—whether comforting an anxious parent in a hospital room, volunteering her time to community health programs, or simply being there for a friend in need, Alyssa gave generously of herself without expecting anything in return. She moved through life as a quiet but powerful force for good, leaving behind a legacy of care that will live on in the patients she helped and the lives she touched.

Those who loved her describe her as a “bright light” whose presence could fill a room and whose absence will be felt in countless ways. One tribute captures the deep grief of her passing:

“The rose. A petal so soft, the world crumbled. The world is torn into catastrophe. The very backyard that was so safe to feel no longer exists. Every human has a dark spot of anger, anger of trauma inflicting fear of the unknown.

The realization life is temporary. Humans are nature. Just as nature dies, humans die. The cause is meant for nature, not murder, not genocide, not malnourishment. The burden for many is too severe. They do not have blindness; they have love so great nature cannot bear it, thus the petal drops with softness.”

Alyssa’s sudden passing is a profound loss not only to her family and friends but also to the medical community and the countless children and families whose lives she touched.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral services on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s Funeral Directors Inc., 6410 N Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill West Cemetery.
