Police in Yate are investigating a stabbing that occurred late Thursday evening, leaving a man and a woman hospitalized.
According to Avon and Somerset Police, officers were called just after 7 p.m. to the area of Ladden Gardens, where a woman was reportedly assaulted and stabbed by a man. At the time of the attack, the woman was in the company of minors, who were not physically harmed.
Shortly afterward, emergency services responded to Peg Hill, where a man was found suffering from apparent stab wounds. Authorities determined the man was involved in the earlier incident near the park.
Both the man and the woman were transported to the hospital. Their conditions have not yet been released.
Police say an investigation is ongoing, and more details will be provided as they become available.
