Authorities in Minneapolis have issued an emergency alert as the search intensifies for 12-year-old Victoria Jackson, who has been missing since Saturday evening. Police and community members are urgently seeking the public’s help, as Jackson is a Type 1 diabetic and may be experiencing a medical emergency.

The alert was issued shortly after 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, August 5, as Minneapolis Police Department officials ramped up search efforts. Jackson was last seen around 8 p.m. Saturday near Minnehaha Falls, located in Minnehaha Regional Park. She lives in the 5200 block of Minnehaha Avenue, just a short distance from the area where she was last spotted.
Victoria is described as 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighing approximately 140 pounds, with black hair styled in twists. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a tan “Rugrats” T-shirt, blue jeans, and red and black shoes. She also wears a black insulin pump, typically clipped to her waistband—a crucial detail, as her condition requires regular insulin management.
“Efforts have been ongoing in the search for Victoria since she went missing, and we believe she is at risk of experiencing a medical emergency,” said Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara in a statement on Tuesday. “Anyone who has any information that may help us locate Victoria, no matter how small it may seem, needs to immediately call 911 so we can locate her. Her family is experiencing the unimaginable pain of not knowing where she is, and we are working diligently toward locating her.”
Police are asking anyone with information about Victoria Jackson’s whereabouts to call 911 immediately. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers of Minnesota.
As concern for her well-being grows, the community is urged to stay alert and assist in spreading awareness about Victoria’s disappearance.
